1. Overview.

Prepaid Cards give you a great possibility to use some of services in Rodopi as a prepaid. You can generate Prepaid Cards for Dial-Up Services  and VoIP Services.

Note: You have to have Vircom VOP Radius installed in order to use Prepaid Dial-Up Cards.
Prepaid VoIP Cards are supported just if you have installed VoIP module either for Lucent or Cisco platform.

2. What Prepaid Cards are and how they work?

Prepaid Cards in Rodopi is a way to resell some of your services to your Rodopi customers. It is up to you to decide what will be the number and the face value of the cards. For example you can generate a block of 1000 cards with $10 each, or you can generate another 1000 with $5 each. First time the customer that has purchased card from your Rodopi reseller connects with your RAS and is authenticated successfully, his account will be activated. Depending on the time s/he spends on the Net and Usage table definition, that is connected with this plan, the proper amount of money will be deducted from his (her) credit each time the customer use the account. When the credit amount reaches zero the customer account will be closed and s/he will have no longer access to your network.

3. Different Types of Prepaid Cards.

Rodopi version 5.2 supports two kinds of prepaid cards depending on the service:

• Prepaid Dial-Up Cards - for your login accounts (ONLY with Vircom Radius Server)
• Prepaid VoIP Cards - if you supports Lucent MAX 6000 or TNT Gateways or Cisco 5300 and Vircom Radius installed.

4. Creating a prepaid plan.

4.1. For Dial-Up Service.

First you have to create Prepaid Dial-Up Account.
Go to Rodopi->Administration->Service Plans->Plan Details and click on the Add button. Enter proper names for Keyword, Label, Description and  HTML Help fields. For Items you have to add three items - User Name for Dialup Accounts, Password and Credit Remaining for Prepaid Detail.

You should get the screen similar to the one shown below.  

4.2. For VoIP Service (read this if you have VoIP module installed).

You can create Details and plans for VoIP Prepaid Service in the way similar to creating Detail Prepaid Plan for Dial-Up Service.

Detail for Prepaid VoIP for Lucent Gateways has to include the following items:

• Voip PIN
• Credit remaining for prepaid detail
• Voip User Alias

Detail for Prepaid VoIP for Cisco has to include the following items:

• Voip PIN
• Credit remaining for prepaid detail
• VoIP Password

5. Generating prepaid cards.

In order to generate block of prepaid cards you need to go to Rodopi Administration->Prepaid Cards->Generate.
You should enter:

• Reseller Reg. Number
• Service Plan
• Number Cards to be generated
• Region where these cards to be valid
• Block Expiration date - the date by which the cards to be valid.
• TimeOut - the period if time (number sec, min or days) after which the card (if not used) will be invalid. 
  
  Then click on the Generate button.
