Create / Edit Service Plan
On this page you have to specify the following plan attributes / details:
Plan Information
- Hidden (Don't make it available)
Hides the plan from the customer in the on-line subscription process. Usually
this attribute is used with Promotions
- Short Name
This is a short name or abbreviation of the Plan Info.
- Description
The name of the plan as it will be displayed in the on-line customer subscription
form.
- Help

button on the plan selection page during subscription)
- Account type and Service
type
These two fields are used to assign a service type and account type to that
plan info respectively. Later on subscription these are used to filter your
plans. For more info see Service Types/Account
Types
- Welcome letter
Here you have to specify the letter that will automatically be sent to the
new subscribers to this plan. You select the letters by their subject, so
when you create welcome letters in Welcome Letters page be sure not to
repeat the subject lines of the letters.
Plan Provisioning Information
- RADIUS Profile
Here you should select RADIUS server profile, that will be used for
Dialin accounts (if any), attached in this plan. For more information how
to create and use RADIUS Profiles in Rodopi,. please refer here.
- Provisioned by
Rodopi gives you an interface to define a set of phones that are used for
different services (e.g. Dialin, VoIP, FoIP). Eeach phone is connected with
some provider (e.g. ThisISP, PSINet, Megapop, Epoch, Roaming Club etc.).
If a plan includes a service that is phone dependant and if you have already
defined some phones for one or more providers you can select them. If a
plan is not phone dependant you have to select All Providers.
Note: Before selecting some provider you have to use Maintenance
/ Additional Tools / Manage Phones to define some phones for this provider.
Note: If you want to define new Provider, please contact Rodopi
support.
Example: If you have defined dialin phones for 858, 619 and
760 area codes and this areas are connected with ThisISP and if you have
selected ThisISP in the dialin plan, then the subscribers for dialin service,
living in area with area code 858 (his home phone is in this area or if
he does not have home phone defined, his business phone will be considered)
will see this plan available to them. If subscriber is from area with area
code 202, he/she will not see this plan, so he/she will not be able
to subscribe for it.
- Details
In this table you have to specify details (services) that you want to include
in this plan info (for more information about details see
here). From the Details dropdown box select the name of the detail.
In Sort Order field enter the whole number (..., -1, 0, 1, 2, ...),
that Rodopi will use to sort details (if they are more then one) by ascending
order. In How Many field you enter positive whole number (1,
2, 3, ....) . This number defines how many details you will have in the
plan. For example: you may want to have five email details. In this case
just put in How Many number 5. In Show on signup put
the positive whole number, representing the number of details to be shown
on subscription. For example: You may want from the five email accounts
in the previous example to show on the customer subscription just
one. The remaining four you will subscribe later.
Plan Billing Information
- Payment types allowed
Here you have the possibility to define the allowed payment types for that
plan info. Later when a customer subscribes for a plan with that plan info
he/she will be displayed only the parameters for the allowed payment types.
For example if you check the box for check payments the user will not have
the opportunity to select credit card payment on subscription.
When a customer subscribes for several plans each of which with different
payments types allowed RODOPI will intersect the payment types. If there
is intersection the valid choices will be shown. If there is not intersection
a credit card payment type will be required.
- Usage threshold
Defines the threshold that will be used to charge customer automatically
when he/she exceeds this usage threshold. If Rodopi can't charge the customer
the plan will be suspended.

customers for this plan.

his billing period.
- Auto change Billing
day to default Anniversary on subscription
If this option is checked, the default Anniversary date of the plan
will be set to the X day of the month, entered in Administration / Configuration
/ Billing Information Default Anniversary field.
Example: Let Auto change Billing day to default Anniversary on
subscription option is selected and Default Anniversary
is 1st day of the month. A customer subscribes for the plan with this plan
info on July 13. His next billing date will be automatically adjusted to
1st of August and his plan will be prorated. Afterwards, the next billing
date will be at 1st of September.
- Other Fees
In the third row of Fees table you have the possibility to select
from dropdown list Domain Name Fee. If you check the box on the left
and enter the positive amount and period, the customer will be billed with
specified amount for the specified period. This is useful when the customer
is subscribed for example for WEB hosting plan with domain name. In this
case the customer will pay let's say $15 for web hosting each month, and
$70 each 24 months(2 years) for keeping his domain name registered.
Note: Just Domain Name Fee is defined in this list and you
can not add another type of additional fees. This list is left open

$5 and ongoing fee is $20. John Ashley is subscribing for this plan. First
month he will pay Setup Fee + Ongoing Fee - Discount, i.e. $5+$20-$10=$15.
Second, third and fourth month he will pay his ongoing fee of $20. Fifth
month he will pay ongoing fee - discount for the fifth month, i.e. $20-$5=$15.

(Unit Types) included in the plan. Notice that you can't select different
Usage Info for one Unit Type, RODOPI won't let you save the Plan Info.
- Prorate All Plans
If you select this option Rodopi will prorate all customer's plans based
on this Plan Info when you change the price of this Plan Info.
A note about changing live Plan Info, which are currently in use:
- You can always add a new
Usage Info for a new Unit Type to an existing plan. The customers will be
billed for this usage from the day you add it.
- You can delete an existing
Usage Info from a plan. Customers won't get billed anymore for this Unit
Type.
- It is not recommended to
replace Usage Info with another Usage Info on the same Unit Type. We
recommend that you first delete the old Usage Info, save the plan, and
then add the new Usage Info and save the plan again.
