Rockstar Software Forms Strategic Alliance with Rodopi Software to provide Enhanced Online Signup Application to Lower New User Churn During Signup Process

SAN FRANCISCO -- June 18, 2002 - Combined Solutions from Leading Software Companies Provide Powerful Signup and Management Offering
Rockstar Software, provider of essential solutions for subscriber access & management and Rodopi Software, a leading provider of billing, provisioning and customer care automation solutions for IP-based and telephony-based companies, today announced a strategic alliance to offer Rockstar's Gearbox Enhanced Online Signup Application to Service Providers. This agreement will benefit customers of both companies who want to improve ease of use for subscribers and automate operations to allow for growth. As a result of this agreement, Web-based online registration and signup from Rockstar's Gearbox will seamlessly integrate with Rodopi's automated provisioning and billing back-end management system to allow Rodopi/Rockstar customers to dramatically increase acquisition for ISP services.

ISPs lose the most potential subscribers during the signup process. This obstruction relates directly to the complexity of designing a good Web-based signup component. The Gearbox Enhanced Signup Application provides easily navigated pages that intuitively walk the user through the signup process and corrects common mistakes -- minimizing churn where it is most likely to occur. The alliance between Rodopi Software and Rockstar Software to provide an enhanced signup application will allow ISPs to increase new-user acquisition and maintain a better experience for their subscribers.

"Rodopi customers who are ISPs face the challenging task of signing up users who are often new to the Internet and computers," stated Art Ekroos, Executive Vice President of Rodopi Software. He continues, "Anything we can do to assist our customers in making this process easier and more automated fulfills our mission to allow our customers to achieve growth and profitability without the need to invest in expensive development."

"This joint offering optimizes signup management for all Rodopi customers, which in turn could enable millions of subscribers to have access to a better experience," said Brian Chen, president and CEO of Rockstar Software.
